Coming off a sweep of the Minnesota Twins, hoping to turn things around, we lost the first two games to the Oakland A's, arguably the best team in baseball right now. We should have won last night's game. That we didn't highlights what's wrong with 'our Red Sox', as Bernice put it. The A's starting pitcher, just recently called up from the Minors, lasted just 4 innings; they won the game with their bullpen while Sox reliever Andrew Miller walked two guys in the 8th and then former Red Sox player Coco Crisp hit the winning run in to score. That sums up the disappointing, frustrating, depressing season we are having in Red Sox Nation. I love reading the comments of the sports writers articles - "when are you gonna realize, last year was an anomaly?"The best thing that's happened this year is the discovery of Brock Holt. Look, up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's Brock Holt!
GAME THREE UPDATE: Another 1 run Loss; the road trip is not going well.

We woke up to this article in the Boston Globe by Nick Cafardo:
"John Farrell not close to giving up on Red Sox."click here:
"Alberto Callaspo scored and the Red Sox had lost another one-run game, the 17th already this season. " Peter Abraham on last night's loss....yes that is 17 games we have lost by 1 run!

The eastern division is very bunched up; how can you give up on them when John Farrell says he is not giving up on them ?!?!?!We are only 7 games behind Toronto and 4 games behind the Orioles and the Yankees..that being said, you are not alone in thinking this is a 'bridge year'..what would Roby say? He was a diehard I think...
