THE CORONA VIRUS DIARIES

Governor Charlie Baker has extended 'shelter in place' rules until May 18th. We are in the sixth week of Lock Down here in my apartment building. We receive a flurry of memos/edicts from management. "Stay inside your apartment. Do not get together in groups. Do not go to a store or any other business, unless it's a necessary doctor's appointment. Going for a walk is ok as long as you practice physical distancing and wear a mask ! Management has made arrangements for our trash to be picked up twice a week by staff. Laundry is being done by who knows who ? (I am not doing that. I don't like strangers touching my clothes !) Management gives every resident a shopping list. They will do the grocery shopping. I am not doing that either. So far I have been able to get my organic food from Whole Foods and get it delivered. I wear purple rubber gloves and a mask/bandana when I leave my apartment. The newest must have accessories.

We're having a global pandemic and the guy at the top is making it worse ! The whole world is watching America go down with the ship. It's painful to experience along with the corona virus. 10,000 people are dying a week - impossible to process, but painful. Watching the President and his administration bungle the federal government's response to this national tragedy is horrifying. He did nothing for two months and apparently is incapable of empathy to the fact that 10,000 people are dying a week. I miss my uncle Roby who would have a lot to say about this. No baseball. There are no words.

NEW RULES NEW REALITY

"If and when business opens up again, life will not be the same as it was before the Virus."

It's really hard to wrap my head around that. It's confusing. Testing. It's confusing.

I like Dr. Fauci. I signed a petition to nominate him as People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive. I love Brad Pitt's impersonation of him on last Saturday Night Live's cold open. Not to mention that Dr. Fauci got his wish to have Brad Pitt impersonate him. Dr. Fauci has a sense of humor. :-)

SUNSET TIME.
