SHE IS GONE

The breathing tube was removed and she stopped breathing not long after that. It was quick. And painless.

Thank you, Carol. I'm glad it was the way she wanted it. Still, even though it was expected, it seems a little surreal. I've always had an Aunt Shirley. I guess death takes time to get used to, as I'm still trying to process my father's death. I'm glad your mother and my father had a good talk when the Red Sox won the World Series. You know I'm a Marlins fan, but in honor of them...go Red Sox!
